Typography & design elements have been using grid structures for a long time, but in recent times there have been other ways to organize design elements in ways where grid structures can’t be used in order to reach a specific audience, when to use grids always depends on the nature of the content given. Sometimes structure needs to be ignored altogether to create reactions, as well as the use of the audience’s imagination in order to achieve a specific experience. Expectations have been influenced by the constant bombardment of information from different types of digital media like movies, television, & the many different social media platforms. This bombardment resulted in people being more open to more complex designs. Sometimes type when put on two same sized art-boards with two different designs can be rearranged when it comes to the different designs of the two samples. Type can also be arranged to make an illusory cube, or can be a lot more dramatically loose.
